Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and policies; ensure store is staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and counsel as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and profitability; manage shrink and errors.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; review weekly ordering plans and inventory issues.
• Ensure proper merchandising presentation and pricing; maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain cashier accountability and security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership; maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure proper equipment and paperwork compliance; complete documentation on deadlines.
