Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 256 in Milford, DE. You will support the Store Manager, run the register, and lead a team to deliver fast, friendly service on every shift.

Open availability and weekend/holiday work are required. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a Food Safety Certification are needed to succeed. This full-time role offers weekly pay, growth opportunities, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Physical readiness for cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas like pumps.
• Minimum age 21+ years.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and grow in retail leadership.
• Food Safety Certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store fully stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership that motivates your team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
