Job summary

Variety Wholesalers, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to support store operations and provide exceptional customer service. You will assist with hiring, training, and supervising team members while helping manage daily store activities under the Store Manager's guidance.

This role emphasizes productivity, asset protection, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities include overseeing opening/closing procedures, compliance with policies, and coordinating freight

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and develop store team members.
• Willingness to work opening/closing and varied shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members.
• Support Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Open/close procedures in the manager's absence.
• Protect assets, including cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain store appearance and stockroom organization.
• Direct hourly Team Members when Store Manager is away.
• Execute corporate directives and freight flow management.
• Ensure productivity and stocking requirements are met.
