Job Summary

The GetGo Assistant Store Leader is a key player in ensuring the store team runs smoothly, as our customers' clocks are ticking. The Team Member in this role will coach, supervise, and lead the team, often on behalf of the Store Leader. This is a developmental role aimed at preparing the individual to run their own store, involving learning and mastering the responsibilities of both Team Members and Leaders. The Assistant Store Leader plays a vital role in growing sales, executing merchandising plans, providing excellent customer service, controlling costs, and improving processes.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 1 to 3 years
  • Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
  • Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age

Job Responsibilities

  • Main duties include:

    1. Interview, select, and train Team Members;
    2. Direct the work of Team Members;
    3. Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status;
    4. Handle Team Member issues, including complaints;
    5. Discipline Team Members;
    6. Plan and assign work;
    7. Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store;
    8. Manage departmental or store budget;
    9. Manage inventory;
    10. Monitor or implement compliance measures.
  • Maintain safety as the top priority for all store activities.
  • Coach the team to drive store success, ensuring product quality, service, and store cleanliness.
  • Hold yourself accountable to high operational standards.
  • Support Store Leadership through coaching and collaborative planning to meet performance targets.
  • Execute merchandising plans effectively to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
  • Identify business trends and opportunities, proactively managing inventory to increase sales and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with Store Leadership on resource allocation, scheduling, and task delegation.
  • Assist in staffing, participate in interviews, and support onboarding.
  • Promote ongoing professional development and succession planning.
  • Provide continuous support, coaching, and recognition to foster a safety, sales, and service culture.
  • Ensure all staff are trained appropriately and perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Follow work procedures and utilize problem-solving to improve performance.
  • Maintain store conditions to meet all standards, compliance, and regulations, reporting deficiencies immediately.
