Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Associate who will cashier and stock, and provide leadership in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will support plan-o-grams, assist customers, and help maximize profitability while protecting company assets.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking shelves, greeting customers, operating the register, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Teamwork and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store process.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage inventory.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag items.
• Maintain clean store, including front end and stockroom.
