Job summary

Shoe Carnival in Humble, TX is hiring a Store Lead to oversee a department and sustain store standards. You’ll greet customers, coach teammates, and help with cash handling and POS operations in a fast-paced environment.

We value initiative, strong communication, and at least 1 year in retail or related roles. Flexible full-time or part-time schedules available, with opportunities for growth and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Leadership by example and initiative.
• At least 1 year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred).
• Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department (such as Women’s, Men’s and Children’s departments) and support overall store standards.
• Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling.
• Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed.
• Organize merchandise, displays, and help with truck unloading and floor moves.
• Promote current sales and programs.
• Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team.
