Job summary

Step into leadership at Shoe Carnival, Inc. in Humble, TX. We are seeking a dependable and energetic Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, act as a key holder, and drive a customer-first environment in a full-time role.

You will open/close the store, support the GM to reach sales goals, lead service efforts, train associates, and ensure smooth visual presentation and loss prevention processes. Remaining flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder.
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals.
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally.
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards.
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation.
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures.
