Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Washington state seeks a dependable PIC to act as the primary customer contact and, during night shifts, supervise store operations with authority similar to that of the Store Director. The role includes cashier duties and coverage across departments as needed.

The PIC ensures friendly service, handles emergencies, enforces policies, and supports stock and display maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of all positions within the store.
• Ability to work independently.
• Desired: Prior experience as a clerk or manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within store policy.
• Supervise store personnel during the absence of higher management.
• Handle emergencies and customer complaints.
• Monitor service and replenishment on the sales floor.
• Replace stock in displays near the checkout area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist cashiers with register issues.
• Perform basic office functions to assist customers and staff.
• Operate the cash register and total customers’ bills.
• Receive payments and give correct change.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carry-out.
