The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Key Carrier at our Marshalls store in Catonsville, MD. This elevated role combines leadership with customer‑focused operations, often serving as Manager on Duty and ensuring coverage and adherence to policy.

Open availability including nights and weekends is required. Starting pay ranges from $17.25 to $17.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance within TJX’s world‑class off-price retail network.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and at least 6 months leadership experience.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Strong coaching and communication skills.
• Knowledge of store operations and merchandise flow.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
