Job summary

Marshalls at The TJX Companies, Inc. in Marshall, MN is seeking a Key Carrier to alternate duties with the Coordinator, taking on a leadership role and maintaining store operations. Open availability is required, including nights and weekends, to model exceptional customer service.

You will help manage coverage, coach Associates, and ensure adherence to procedures while supporting management on priorities and training. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks.
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
• Proven problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates with management and Associates when setting priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
