Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add/subtract/multiply/percent).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions and scanners.
• Knowledge of safety and cash-control policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; build displays.
• Receive, unpack, stock, and rotate merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and locate merchandise.
• Operate register, provide customer service, and handle payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness and security practices.
• Open/close store under supervision and assist in cash handling duties.
