Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist in plan-o-gram setup, stock shelves, greet customers, and maintain a safe, organized store environment while protecting assets and reducing losses.

The role requires basic math skills, cash handling, and exemplary customer service. You will help with register operations, curb display setup, and daily tasks to maximize store profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math, handle cash, and operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons.
• Stock, rotate and display merchandise.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipments as directed by Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in store areas.
• Greet customers entering the store.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open/close store under Area Manager direction.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Monitor cash levels and security cameras where applicable.
