Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to perform front-end and stock duties, acting as lead in the absence of store leadership. You will help set plan-o-grams, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

You will handle cash, stock, and merchandising tasks while delivering excellent customer service and following company procedures. Opportunities exist in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidance.
• Ability to perform cash handling and balance cash.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Operate cash register and collect payment.
• Maintain clean, organized store and display plans.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Open/close the store under direction of Area Manager.
