Job summary

Goodwill Hawaii is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to help supervise daily store operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will assist in achieving sales goals, oversee inventory, training, and safety compliance while collaborating with Store Manager and leadership to create a productive, welcoming shopping environment for our community.

This role requires one year certificate or related experience, with opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school.
Three to six months related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Assigns duties, schedules shifts and breaks, and ensures adequate floor coverage.
Trains and supervises staff on store policies and job duties.
Orders and inspects merchandise, supplies, and equipment.
Tracks deliveries, check for accuracy and reports discrepancies.
Ensures items are properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
Ensures accuracy in sales, cash handling, and daily deposits.
Handles complaints and returns professionally.
Assist with customer service and sales as needed.
Communicates regularly with the Store Manager, Sales Leads, Production Supervisor, and Director of Operations/Retail.
Follow all company and safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
