Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations in Denver. You will unload shipments, stock shelves, operate the cash register, and assist customers with locating items while maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment.

Strong communication and cash handling skills are required, along with the ability to follow plan-o-grams and assist in loss prevention. Prior supervisory exposure is a plus, with potential for advancement within the store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and assess customer purchases and bag items.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and maintain a clean, safe environment.
