Dollar General Corporation in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store, assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support store profitability while safeguarding assets.

You will lead in the absence of Store Manager, open/close the store under direction, and help implement planograms. The role requires strong communication, basic math, and cashier experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Experience with cash handling and cashier duties.
• Willingness to drive to the bank for deposits.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays; restock shelves.
• Clean the store; manage cleanliness and sanitation; maintain restroom and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by the Store Manager in their absence.
