Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a fast-paced retail team. You will supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, manage merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits and cash controls.

The role includes scheduling, training, and enforcing store policies while maintaining profitability and protecting assets. Prior retail and supervisory experience are preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training employees; conduct safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, displays, planograms.
