Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Comstock Park, MI is seeking a Lead Store Sales Associate to support management, ensure excellent customer service, and help run daily retail operations. The role pays $16.00 per hour and is full-time, with evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, banking, inventory turnover, and maintaining displays. Training is provided, with growth opportunities in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English.
• Proficient cash handling and accurate change-giving.
• Basic computer skills including POS system and payroll program.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation for bank runs (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Support management with product sales and acquisition.
• Implement store opening and closing procedures.
• Handle banking and daily deposits.
• Execute strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals.
• Manage product rotation process and inventory turnover.
• Provide direction to staff in absence of management.
