Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Comstock Park, MI is seeking a Lead Store Sales Associate to support store management and ensure smooth daily operations. This role emphasizes customer service, product sales, and adherence to procedures in a busy retail environment.

You will assist with banking, opening/closing, and inventory turnover, while helping maintain appealing displays and a positive shopping experience for customers. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English for effective communication.
• Basic computer skills including Point of Sales System & payroll program.

Responsibilities

• Support management with product sales and acquisition.
• Implement store opening and closing procedures.
• Handle banking and daily deposits.
• Execute strategies to meet product acquisition, production and sales goals.
• Manage product rotation process and inventory turnover.
• Create an enjoyable shopping experience with positive customer service skills.
• Deli ver customers and maintain store appearance and displays.
• Provide direction to staff in absence of management.
