Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Knoxville, TN seeks a dedicated Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and lead in the manager’s absence. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, run the register, and maintain clean, safe facilities while delivering excellent customer service.

You will assist with plan-o-gram implementation, merchandise presentation, and drive profitability through efficient processes and teamwork. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves and displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise.
• Operate cash register and handle payments.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment.
• Lead in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Sign refunds/overrides and maintain cashier accountability.
