Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to lead customer service, operate the register, and maintain organized store conditions. You will stock, display products, and help ensure store profitability under the Store Manager's guidance.

You will perform cashier duties, assist with planograms, and may assume leadership in the Manager's absence. This role requires strong communication and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures.
• Ability to drive to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers; provide superior service leadership.
• Operate the cash register and scanner; handle payments and bag merchandise.
• Receive, stock, and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean and maintain store; manage trash and restroom areas.
• Assist with planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open/close the store under Store Manager directions.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
