Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Georgia to maintain a clean, welcoming store while prioritizing customers. You will assist shoppers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, and help protect company assets. You may lead when the Store Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and store safety policies.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
