Job summary

Dollar General in Covington, GA is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to support store operations, lead customer service on the sales floor, and help drive profitability. You will assist customers in locating merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, and assist customers.
• Stock merchandise, rotate shelves, and set up displays following planograms.
• Clean the store, manage trash, dust and mop floors, and maintain restrooms and stockrooms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
