Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable cashier/stocker with a lead role in the absence of the Store Manager. You will help set up plan-o-grams, assist customers, and ensure a clean, organized store while protecting assets and reducing losses.

The role involves stocking, opening/closing duties as directed, and providing exemplary customer service. Candidates should be reliable, communicative, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle cash and change accurately.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise; restock returned items.
• Assist in plan-o-grams and product placement.
• Open/close store under area manager direction.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and collect payments; bag items.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
