Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dependable Cashier/Stocker with leadership capacity for a Full-Time role in Florida. You will assist in plan-o-gram implementation, stock merchandise, serve customers, and help manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.

The role emphasizes cash handling, safety, and exemplary customer service. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment, unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized store conditions while promoting profitability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves and displays.
• Assist with plan-o-grams and merchandising.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise.
• Operate register and process payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Open/close store under Area Manager directions.
• In absence of management, handle refunds and overrides; manage cash.
