Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Seattle, WA seeks an organized HR support professional to assist with hiring, training, and implementing human resources standards across the store.

You will help recruit, onboard, and develop associates while upholding Kroger’s values of respect, integrity and safety. You will partner with store management to schedule interviews, administer background checks, and coordinate training to ensure compliance with policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Display a positive attitude and promote trust and respect among associates.
• Maintain confidentiality of associate, customer and company information.
• Determine staffing needs by partnering with department heads and store management.
• Initiate job requisitions and use ATS to progress applications.
• Obtain approval for rehires.
• Schedule and participate in interviews for all applicants.
• Initiate background checks, drug tests, and follow up on results.
• Process new hire paperwork and create new hire files per standards and regulations.
• Schedule training for new and promoted associates.
• Coordinate and assist training to ensure it occurs.
• Coordinate with managers to assess progress of new/promoted associates.
• Coordinate and assist with online training modules.
• Conduct training classes as assigned.
• Issue and track training checklists for new hires.
• Support management with morale, surveys and action planning.
• Maintain employee and medical files and handle imaging requests.
• Coordinate policy sign-offs and read-and-signs.
• Support and promote all company programs and adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity (robbery, theft, fraud).
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Must perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
