Job summary

Walmart in Houma, LA is seeking an experienced store leader to develop teams, guide store operations, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will coach associates, manage budgets, and implement business initiatives using the OBW service model.

You’ll drive sales, protect assets, and lead change initiatives while modeling integrity and a commitment to our customers. The role offers a path to growth within Walmart’s retail leadership track.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, CBC and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams effectively by training and actively listening to associates; provide feedback and communicate store objectives.
• Drive the store’s financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses.
• Supervise and develop associates, set clear expectations, recognize performance, and promote belonging.
• Ensure compliance with policies, support ethics and integrity, and drive continuous improvement in customer experience.
