Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead the store team, drive sales, and build professional customer relationships with integrity. You will oversee operations, inventory, and service standards while mentoring staff and ensuring financial performance.

This exempt role requires 50–55 hours per week, with a schedule of 5–6 days and 11-hour shifts, including rotating nights and weekends. ASE or related automotive knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related area preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
• ASE certification is preferred but not required; valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales; coach team to execute action plans.
• Hire, develop, coach, schedule and engage store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach team to meet Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Duty manager responsibilities: coaching, floor/phone mgmt, tasks, safety, opening/closing.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installation.
• Support District/Region in other functions when requested.
