Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a General Manager to inspire the team, grow professional customer relationships, and achieve financial targets with integrity. The role requires extensive store systems and automotive knowledge and a commitment to 50–55 hours per week, with a 5–6 day schedule including nights and weekends.

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities include driving sales, managing staff performance, and maintaining service and appearance standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in business or related area preferred.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 2–3 years of experience managing a team of 10–20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales.
• Hire, develop, coach, schedule and engage store team members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach team members to meet customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Assume manager-on-duty responsibilities and drive safety and store operations.
• Lead change management and foster a diverse, respectful environment.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs.
• Assist District/Region in other functions as requested.
