Job summary

BFS Foods in Canann Valley, Davis, WV is seeking a General Manager to lead store operations in partnership with the District Manager. You will drive program execution, product implementation, and optimize store efficiency while ensuring quality, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing staff, scheduling, inventory control, ordering and receiving, merchandising, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, understand, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Be able to stand for periods up to 8 hours.
• Be able to lift, carry and push up to 50-pound carry milk cartons, bag-in-the-box soft drink containers, etc., several times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for entire store operations in conjunction with the District Manager to maximize store efficiencies and program execution.
• Provide top quality, fast, efficient, and friendly service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, develop and evaluate employees; coach store staff and create a positive store culture.
• Schedule and conduct all store meetings and report violations of attendance policy to Human Resources.
• Oversee ordering/receiving products, inventory control, and rotation of products in compliance with company policies.
• Manage merchandising, pricing, promotions, and store appearance.
• Monitor sanitation, foodservice safety procedures, and compliance with local/state standards.
• Handle cash, banking, and POS duties; manage payroll information and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to BFS policies and disciplinary guidelines.
• Maintain labor efficiency and ensure proper scheduling to meet demand and company hour guidelines.
• Perform duties related to promotions, roll-outs, and trainings communicated by corporate.
• Attend to quality control, safety, and sanitation inspections and follow-up actions.
