Job summary

Global Montello Group Corp in Lowell, MA is seeking a General Manager to direct day-to-day store operations, drive profitability, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction while upholding safety and compliance.

You will lead staffing, training, and coaching, manage budgets and inventory, analyze financial reports, and engage with the community to foster growth. A strong track record in retail or fuel environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of retail or food service management experience, or 3+ years in a fuel environment.
• Strong leadership, staff development, and labor allocation skills.
• Experience in budgeting, inventory control, cash handling, and safety programs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible availability to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform required tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maximize store profitability by managing expenses, revenue streams, and inventory.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team; oversee hiring, scheduling, training, and coaching.
• Ensure outstanding customer experience; handle guest complaints and gather feedback.
• Maintain store appearance, safety, and compliance with local, state, and company policies.
• Execute financial plans, analyze reports, and monitor cash handling and inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement, change initiatives, and community engagement.
• Provide performance coaching, evaluations, recognition, and talent development.
