Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a fast-paced sneaker store with energy, ownership, and the enablement of store leadership. You will drive sales results, coach a team, and ensure a memorable customer experience on the floor.

This role requires retail leadership, the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team, plus flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You’ll manage opening/closing, loss prevention, and use retail tech to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with an energy mindset, bringing confidence and solutions to every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues, maintaining standards, and taking ownership of store execution.
