Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Jr. Financial Analyst – Store Finance to support forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis across retail stores, manufacturing, and national sales. The role offers hands-on experience and mentorship from senior analysts.

You will build financial models, prepare monthly packages, assist budgeting, and collaborate with leaders across business units. Strong Excel and BI skills, plus clear communication, are essential to turning data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent; finance/analytical focus preferred.
• Entry-level FP&A or related exposure; internships or coursework considered.
• Retail and manufacturing familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with ERP, budgeting and forecasting systems encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, financial reporting, and performance analysis with the store finance team.
• Build and maintain financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages and explain variances to leadership.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting with store-level insights and recommendations.
• Participate in month-end close and develop historical and prospective analyses.
• Gather data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects by coordinating objectives and timelines.
• Build relationships with store leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Help improve reporting standards and automation with templates and data visuals.
• Ensure data integrity across reports and source systems.
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvements.
