Job summary

Disc Replay is seeking an Assistant Manager in Portage, MI to lead the Sales Associate team, hire, train, and manage performance while upholding our core values and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will drive customer service quality, monitor feedback, and ensure adherence to company processes. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment; lifting up to 50lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of customer service best practices, with a passion for training and developing others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and maintain morale.
• Familiarity with Disc Replay’s product categories (video games, electronics, movies, collectibles) is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift 50lbs without assistance

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable the sales associate team; set clear expectations and provide ongoing training and feedback.
• Drive the customer service experience; monitor and respond to customer feedback and improve team performance.
• Deliver coaching, feedback, and performance management; enforce standards and address personnel issues.
• Oversee store operations; assist with hiring and ensure proper team fit in roles.
• Provide weekly KPI updates to Store Manager on customer experience metrics.
• Support administrative tasks, inventory counts, reporting and loss prevention initiatives.
