Join to apply for the Store Environment Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Maintain a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver our Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and help them find what they need.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collecting and disposing of trash following approved procedures.
2. Dusting and damp mopping floors.
3. Moving equipment and products for cleaning and restoring product placement.
4. Cleaning assigned areas with proper materials and equipment, including mixing cleaning solutions as needed.
5. Deep cleaning key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
6. Maintaining cleaning equipment and notifying supervisors of supply needs.
7. Taking initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks.
8. Completing all tasks assigned by supervisors in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
9. Interacting positively and respectfully with team members and customers.
10. Projecting a positive image and serving as a role model for other team members.

Additional duties may include:

• Providing a friendly checkout experience, including cash handling.
• Engaging customers about Rewards programs and credit card enrollments.
• Supporting Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
• Participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Supporting shrink and safety programs.
• Adhering to SOPs and company policies to ensure legal compliance.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical requirements and work environment:

• Standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and using ladders or similar equipment.
• Work may include outdoor tasks and working nights, weekends, or early mornings.
