Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a Store Director for the North Detroit Market, covering multiple locations including Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, and more. You will lead all store operations, drive sales, ensure exceptional customer service, and develop a high-performing team aligned with our leadership standards.

You will mentor leaders, manage budgets and safety compliance, partner with the local community, and deliver a premier shopping experience for customers while upholding Meijer's core

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• 3 years retail leadership experience with GM and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.
• Position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
• Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing staff.
• Maintain all corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures to provide a safe and stable work environment.
• Be a strong community partner by cultivating relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
