Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Director for the North Detroit Market including Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Lapeer, Oxford, Marysville, and surrounding MI locations. You will lead all store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service while upholding Meijer's leadership standards and values.

The role requires strong retail leadership, financial discipline, and the ability to develop future leaders within a multi-unit operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• 3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

• Use leadership to maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
• Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing staff.
• Maintain all corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures to provide a safe work environment.
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
