Vallarta Supermarkets in Los Angeles is seeking a Store Director to lead a high-volume grocery operation, driving sales, profitability, customer experience, and team leadership across multiple departments.

You will develop business plans, recruit and coach leaders, optimize staffing, ensure food safety and compliance, and partner with district leaders to execute promotions and initiatives while maintaining outstanding store presentation and community focus.

Competenze

• 5+ years of progressive grocery or retail management experience
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing large teams.
• Strong understanding of retail sales, merchandising, inventory management, labor management, and financial performance.
• Proven ability to improve sales, profitability, customer service, and operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Mansioni

• Lead all aspects of store operations, including front end, grocery, produce, meat, deli, bakery, prepared foods, and other departments as applicable.
• Drive sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall store performance.
• Develop and execute business plans, sales strategies, and operational initiatives.
• Recruit, train, coach, develop, and retain store leadership and hourly team members.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
• Monitor sales, labor, inventory, shrink, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective labor scheduling.
• Maintain high standards for merchandising, pricing, product availability, freshness, cleanliness, and store presentation.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Minimize inventory loss, product shrink, waste, and operational expenses.
• Partner with district and regional leadership on business initiatives and company programs.
• Analyze financial and operational reports to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
• Ensure effective execution of promotions, seasonal programs, new product launches, and merchandising initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
• Lead store meetings and communicate company priorities, performance results, and operational expectations.
• Respond effectively to emergencies, operational disruptions, and other store-level issues.
