Job summary

Disney Consumer Products seeks a Senior Manager, Store Design to lead end-to-end design and delivery of retail environments across Walt Disney Parks, Resorts, and Disney Signature Experiences. This role requires strategic leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate guest experiences.

You will oversee concept development, design execution, and project delivery for Disney store environments, guiding teams across operations, merchandising, facilities, and external vendors

Qualifications

• 8+ years in retail design/store planning or branded architecture/experiential design
• 3+ years of management leading design teams
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering documents and shop drawings
• Deep knowledge of building codes and retail design standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects with budget and schedule
• Strong communication of concepts to leadership and cross-functional partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
• Experience with 3D modeling/CAD workflows and rendering tools
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and escalate when needed

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day store design activities from concept to completion, aligning with brand standards and store operations
• Oversee store concepts, layouts, finishes, fixtures, and visual storytelling in retail environments
• Provide leadership and development to the Store Design & Development team
• Review architectural drawings and vendor shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Manage multiple projects with timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
• Identify risks and maintain project momentum and schedule integrity
• Resolve design issues during construction in partnership with teams
• Lead cross-functional design direction meetings and coordinate with stakeholders
• Represent Store Design in internal/external forums and guide design decisions
• Build relationships with Operations, Merchandising, Facilities, Architecture & Engineering, and external vendors
• Support pilot programs and new design initiatives to improve creativity and operations
• Ensure all projects reflect Disney quality, storytelling, and guest experience
