Athra is looking for an organized, detail oriented, and driven individual with strong fashion merchandising and design skills. The candidate for this position must possess an excellent eye for fashion jewelry display and assortment planning. The purpose of the Merchandising & Design Assistant is supporting the accessories product development team and the sales team. Excellent time management skills and follow through. Must assist in developing presentations for customer meetings, based on knowledge of customer needs and best sellers reports.

Responsibilities

• Managing, communicating and following up with vendors regarding sample orders, sample production and re-vendor projects.
• Working with designers to assist in sample development for customers and markets.
• Assist with spec sheets for new sample development.
• Communicate with operations when needed for production orders based on new samples.
• Assists in creating meeting presentations based on customer selling history.
• Issues and follows up with customer sample requests.
• Back up assistance with accurately entering product information in the system.

Skill/Qualifications

• B.S. in Merchandising/Visual Merchandising
• 1-2 years of merchandising experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
• Excellent communication and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent time management skills and follow through
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
