As a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, you are considered the 'face of the retail store' and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down and rebuild engines, but a background and knowledge of automotive parts are essential. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other careers within our company.

What you will be doing:

• Providing auto parts solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
• Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
• Bringing customer focus and energy to our fast-paced stores
• Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive experience
• Using technology, cash registers, telephones, and catalog systems

What you’ll need:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong listening skills and empathy

Additional preferred qualifications:

• Passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership work
• Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems
• Customer-centric mindset
• ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
