Join to apply for the Store Counter Sales role at NAPA Auto Parts

We are more than just a parts store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. No need to be able to tear down engines—though that’s a plus—but a background in automotive parts is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing auto parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
2. Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge.
3. Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
4. Engaging customers with high energy in a fast-paced environment.
5. Using technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs to assist customers.

Ideal candidates are those who:

1. Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and questions.
2. Have experience in the automotive industry or have tinkered with cars and trucks.
3. Are eager to learn about automotive parts if they lack experience.
4. Are interested in career growth within the company.

Requirements include:

1. A valid driver’s license.
2. Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
3. High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses are a plus.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
6. Good listening skills and empathy for customers.

Additional preferred qualifications:

1. Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership industries.
2. Experience with cataloging or inventory systems.
3. Customer-centric attitude.
4. ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
