The State of Indiana is seeking a Store Clerk at Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill to stock, disburse and control commissary goods for incarcerated individuals and supervise staff helping with these tasks.

Starting salary is $31,668 per year, with possible adjustments for education and experience. Eligible non-custody staff performing federal detention duties may receive a $20 bonus per shift; a broad benefits package is included. Equal opportunity employment is emphasized.

Qualificações

• Must pass drug screenings and complete required training/certifications.
• Adhere to the Department's dress code and grooming requirements.
• Knowledge of requisitioning, disbursing procedures, and inventory control.
• Understand storage methods for goods, including perishables.
• Experience with large‑scale inventory control and related systems.
• Familiarity with state/federal regulations for handling refrigerated items.

Responsabilidades

• Authorize accuracy of all orders in storeroom and goods received.
• Coordinate with vendors on partial shipments or misorders.
• Maintain detailed inventory records and orders history.
• Evaluate and improve record-keeping or storage procedures as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishables.
• Receive, stock, disburse, and control goods for commissary.
• Supervise and guide lower‑level clerks in warehouse tasks.
• Maintain security while supervising incarcerated individuals during work.
