Overtime may be required. Training and federal detention duties may apply with additional $50 per shift when applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.
• Must test negative on all drug screenings.
• Veteran/law enforcement candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal safety and the safety of staff and incarcerated individuals.
• Monitor assigned areas for security and activity.
• Follow established security procedures.
• Manage incarcerated individuals in work details and general grounds upkeep.
• Escort incarcerated individuals to locations for meals, medications, work, and recreation.
• Keep records and report movements and incidents.
• Search housing areas and visitors for unauthorized items.
