Michaels Stores in Overland Park, KS is seeking a part-time Store Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment and assist customers as needed.

You will perform cleaning tasks across store areas, stock duties, and participate in routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This role requires standing, bending, and occasional heavy lifting, with shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cleaning preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Follow approved procedures for cleaning and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash per procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors per procedures.
• Move equipment and products for cleaning; return to placement.
• Clean assigned areas with specified materials/equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions as specified; mix if needed.
• Deep clean key areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, high-traffic zones).
• Keep cleaning equipment neat; notify supervisor for supplies.
• Perform tasks and assist customers while following SOPs.
