Job summary

Living Spaces Furniture is seeking a reliable Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized showroom, restrooms, offices, warehouse, and exterior areas in San Diego. You will operate cleaning equipment, monitor supplies, and collaborate with store teams to keep the environment guest-ready.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of retail custodial experience; various benefits are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year of retail experience in a custodial or janitorial role, with commercial facilities or building janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the entire store to identify cleanliness, safety, and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness standards across the showroom, restrooms, offices, warehouse, breakrooms, and exterior areas, including parking lots.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers and vacuums, to ensure tile, carpet, and common areas are cleaned and maintained daily.
• Clean, sanitize, dust, and wipe down surfaces and high-touch areas throughout the store in accordance with cleaning and safety standards.
• Partner with Operations and store teams to keep the showroom clean and guest-ready during business hours.
• Monitor and track cleaning supply inventory, performing routine stock checks and notifying leadership of replenishment needs.
• Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Perform additional custodial and cleaning tasks as assigned to support daily store operations.
