Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Houston, TX is seeking a store associate to maintain cleanliness and deliver friendly customer service. You will help customers, manage shopping areas, and follow SOPs to ensure a safe, inviting store environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks, stock organization, and assisting with omni-channel processes. Must be able to stand long hours and work nights/weekends as needed. Competitive benefits and employee discounts offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Standing for long periods required.
• Ability to move throughout the store and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop our store and find what they're looking for.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• May require mixing water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
