Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a dedicated cleaning team member to maintain office spaces, restrooms, lunchrooms, and break areas in our Mechanicsburg location. You will handle floors, mirrors, and surfaces, remove trash, and use power washers for exterior cleaning. Compliance with PPE and safety rules is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Clean and vacuum floors in the office and conference spaces.
• Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
• Remove all trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean up all spills in the store, and use power washer to clean sidewalks.
• Dust and wash surfaces.
• Wash mirrors, glass, surfaces, floors, and equipment in all break rooms, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
• Resupply items as needed.
• Use floor cones to designate potentially hazardous floor conditions.
