Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a dedicated cleaning associate to maintain office, break rooms, and restroom areas at our State College location. You will remove trash, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure spills are promptly addressed, helping us keep store facilities safe and welcoming for customers and teammates.

Responsibilities include routine floor care, dusting, and surface cleaning, with a focus on safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and required equipment at shift start.
• Clean and vacuum office and conference spaces.
• Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
• Remove trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean spills, and wash sidewalks with a power washer.
• Dust and wash surfaces.
• Wash mirrors, glass, surfaces, floors, and equipment in break rooms and restrooms.
• Resupply items as needed.
• Use floor cones to designate hazardous floor conditions.
