Qualifications

• Six months experience performing loading, unloading and verifying merchandise.
• Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
• Federal pay beginning at the Non-Appropriated Fund NF-01 level + depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads merchandise; examines for damage or shortages.
• Verifies type and quantity of merchandise received against documentation; brings discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assists in assembly and loading of merchandise for requests.
• Unpacks, stocks counters and shelves with merchandise per established instructions; may price stamp merchandise.
• Assists in periodic inventories; keeps storage and sales area clean and orderly.
• Moves layaway merchandise from store to designated warehouse area; ensures proper documentation.
• May operate price tag machine, unload boxes and packages and pull stock from shelves.
• Assists customers in locating merchandise and answering general questions; may operate a cash register.
• Works under supervision with instructions; completed work checked to ensure compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
